Privacy Policy

Informative note pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003

Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003 (namely “Personal Data Protection Code”, hereinafter the “Privacy Code”), provides for the protection of individuals and other entities in relation to the processing of personal data. Pursuant to the above mentioned Privacy Code, the processing of personal data shall be carried out in compliance with the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and the protection of the data subject’ privacy and rights.

Accordingly, pursuant to article 13 of Privacy Code, VI.P.S by Serena Giovannoni, with registered office at Via Maroncelli 372, Viareggio (hereinafter, “VI.P.S”), in its quality of data controller, provides you with the following information.

1. Purposes of the processing of personal data

Your personal data may be processed, directly and/or through third parties, exclusively for the following purposes:

a) fulfilment of the obligations imposed by laws, regulations and the EU legislation. Providing the personal data requested for these purposes is mandatory and the relevant processing does not require your consent;

b) strictly connected with and useful for the management of the existing relationship between you and VI.P.S (eg. the performance of pre-contractual and contractual obligations, as well as for tax, accounting and legal obligations; management and execution of the contract). Providing the personal data requested for these purposes is not mandatory.

However, in case of failure to provide the personal data, and depending on the connection between the personal data required and the requested service, VI.P.S may not be able to supply the service.

Processing of such personal data does not require your consent (art. 24, lett. b), of the Privacy Code).

In addition, VI.P.S informs you that – pursuant to article 130, paragraph 4, of the Privacy Code - your electronic contact details for electronic mail, supplied by you in the context of the service bookings, may be used by VI.P.S – without your prior consent - for promotional and marketing communications relating to products or services which are similar to those that have been supplied to you by VI.P.S.

In this respect, VI.P.S hereby informs you that you will be able to object the sending of such promotional and marketing communications at any time, either initially or in connection with subsequent communications, easily and free of charge, by sending an e-mail to the following address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2. Kind of personal data collected

In order to provide you with the services required, VI.P.S collects certain non sensitive personal data (namely, information which allow your direct or indirect identification, such as your name and surname, address, telephone number, credit card number). In case you need specific services or particular conditions relating to the same (eg. in the case of disabled travellers or travellers requiring particular dietary requirements, specific travel arrangements or particular conditions relating to the transport and/or catering services, as well as any other additional or ancillary service which may be requested), which may require the collection and processing by VI.P.S of sensitive data[1], please directly contact us for the fulfilment of the required formalities.

3. Modalities of the processing of personal data

The processing of personal data is carried out, for the above mentioned purposes, in compliance with the provisions of article 11 of the Privacy Code, both in paper and electronic form, by means of electronic or automated equipments, pursuant to the applicable laws on confidentiality and security matters.

The processing is carried out directly by the data controller, by the data processor, and/or by the persons in charge of the processing, within the purposes described in point 1 above. Upon your request, a list of these entities will be provided by the data controller or the data processor indicated under point 6 hereinbelow.

4. Categories of entities to whom the personal data may be communicated

The personal data may be communicated, within the limits strictly connected to the obligations, tasks, and purposes described under point 1 above, and in compliance with applicable laws governing this matter, to the following categories of entities:

a) individuals and/or public or private entities to whom personal data shall be communicated for the purpose of performing or require the performance of specific obligations provided by the laws, regulations or the EU legislation;

b) individuals and/or legal entities which receive or supply several services to or on behalf of VI.P.S (eg. Hotels, Restaurants, Traven Agencies, Car Rentals etc). Said subjects will act in their quality of autonomous data controllers or data processors.
Personal data will not be disseminated.

5. Rights of the data subject

With respect to the processing of the personal data, you have the right, pursuant to article 7 of the Privacy Code, at any moment, to obtain confirmation of the existence of your personal data and to be informed on the relevant content and source, to check the relevant accuracy and to request the integration, updating, or rectification of the same. Pursuant to the same article, you have the right to request the cancellation, anonymization or blocking of personal data which have been processed unlawfully, as well as to object, in any event and on legitimate grounds, the processing thereof.

For the purpose of exercising the rights provided for by the above mentioned article 7 of the Privacy Code, your requests shall have to be submitted to the data processor indicated under point 6 below.

6. Data Controller and Data Processor of the processing

The data controller of the processing is VI.P.S with registered office at Via Maroncelli 372, Viareggio, (Lu) in the person of its legal representative. The data processor of the processing is Ms Serena Giovannoni.

 



[1] Pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 1, letter d) of the Privacy Code, “sensitive data” means personal data allowing the disclosure of racial or ethnic origin, religious philosophical or other beliefs, political opinions, membership of parties, trade unions, associations or organization of religious, philosophical, political or trade unionist character as well as personal data disclosing health or sex life.
